Bride's Story
Andrea and I met on a snowy night in New
York City. We were at a French party on
a Tuesday evening after work. I went there
with Lillian and Gina. After a few grueling
weeks at work, Lillian and I decided to
stay a little bit longer to burn off some
steam. Andrea was there with his friend
Roberto. Roberto and Lillian started talking
so Andrea and I ended up chatting. I did
not tell him I spoke Italian and was listening
to what he would tell Roberto in Italian.
Andrea invited us to his house for a dinner
party on Friday. I told him he would have
to take me on a proper first date to a
restaurant before I went to his house.
Being Italian, Andrea asked me to have
dinner with him the next day. I still
gave him a hard time saying I would only
accept if he had memorized the phone number
I had given him 10 minutes earlier. Luckily,
he did, and we went out the next day and
have been almost inseparable ever since.
Groom's Story
Roberto and I decided to go to
a French party even though there was a
snowstorm in New York that evening. We
walked around the place, talking about
how tough life can be when we met two
lovely ladies, one of which could speak
some basic Italian “uno, due, tre,
ciao, come stai?” but not a lot
more than that ;) Roberto started speaking
with her (Lillian) and I started chatting
with Saba. The music was so loud that
I could not hear anything Saba was saying,
so I asked her to move closer towards
the bar where the volume was a little
bit lower than in the middle of the dance
floor. She was sophisticated and I had
to persuade her to come to a dinner party
at my place on Friday. I was lucky I could
remember her phone number she gave me
few minutes before and so she had to accept
my dinner invitation for the very next
evening! After that, everything changed
in my life and my friends immediately
understood how this happy story would
end.
NB: Guys remember, if you can’t
calculate the sum of all the numbers between
1 and 100 in your head, it may be difficult
to get married ;)
